Colorado’s CEU requirements for nurses
The Colorado Board of Nursing does not require nurses to take any continuing education units in order to maintain their Colorado nursing license. Whether you’re a LPN, RN, or NP, the state does not require you to take any classes.
However, you may still consider taking nurse continuing education classes in Colorado for several reasons:
- You are licensed in multiple states: Many other states outside Colorado require you to complete CEUs to maintain your license in those states.
- Your hospital requires you to take continuing education courses: Some hospitals require nurses to take courses on specific topics as part of the employment contract.
- You want to brush up on certain skills: Many nurses genuinely enjoy learning more about nursing and becoming proficient in new skills. If this is you, you can take hundreds of courses for free from Incredible Health.
