Qualifications:

* Graduate of an accredited RN Program and currently licensed in the State of California
* Current Basic Life Support (BLS) Certification for Healthcare Providers from the American Heart Association
* Advanced Cardiac Life Support (ACLS) for Healthcare Providers from the American Heart Association
* Two years experience in a special procedures lab setting with experience in interventional vascular procedures preferred OR, Three (3) years recent Nursing experience with Evidence of completing a Critical Care Course is required OR completion of AACN ECCO within 9 months of hire
* May have two years experience in Intensive Care setting with experience in caring for patients receiving treatment from the Special Procedures Lab setting and/or Cardiac and Vascular Surgical procedures.

Duties &
Responsibilities:

Job Summary

Under general supervision, the Interventional Radiology Nurse works closely
with the assigned radiologist and technologists to provide hands-on care to
patients of all ages, before, during and after radiology procedures and
imaging. Within that role, the Interventional Radiology Nurse performs all
steps of the nursing process including assessing patients, interpreting data,
planning, implementing, evaluating care, coordinating care with other
providers, and teaching the patient and family how to manage aftercare to
prevent complications. The Interventional Radiology Nurse partners with the
patient’s family wherever possible, considering all aspects of care, to
deliver family centered care.

Other Info:

Prolonged periods of standing and walking. Lifting, pushing, pulling up to 50
pounds, transferring, repositioning patients, reaching, stooping, bending,
kneeling, and crouching for patient care functions.

The job may involve radiation exposure. As a result, wearing lead protective
gear and a radiation dosimeter is required in some procedural areas.
