Texas Health Resources seeks to hire a Director Clinical Education, Urgent
Care.

The Clinical Education Director directly oversees and mentors the Urgent Care
Educators. Through integration and strong working relationships with other
leadership, ensures the provision of quality care delivery and standardized
modern urgent care model processes and key performance indicators. The
Clinical Education Director designs and deploys training curriculum and
selects appropriate learning delivery method. Directs educational program that
promotes professional excellence for all clinical roles. Develops and
implements evaluation system to monitor the quality of training delivery.
Ensures that all federal and state regulatory requirements are met. Works in
triad model with the Medical Director and Director Urgent Care.

Salary range is Min. $106,371/year to Max. $149,593/year – based on relevant
experience

Location: Arlington, TX

Work Schedule

* Full time, day shift

Job Description

Develop, monitor, and refine the clinical education component of the
curriculum

Provide documented records and assessment of the clinical education component
(includes clinical education sites, clinical educators, etc.)

Work to improve efficiency and quality in delivering healthcare services

Evaluate program effectiveness and conduct performance reviews of Urgent Care
Educators

Ensure the continued effectiveness of clinical education experiences

Leverage education components to enhance not only clinical quality but also
productivity and consumer throughput

Researching and implementing new directives for volume growth, speed, and
efficiency

Qualifications

The ideal candidate will possess the following qualifications

Education
Master’s Degree in Nursing or Physician Assistant required
Graduate of an accredited Nurse Practitioner or Physician Assistant program
required

Experience
3 years clinical experience required

Licenses and Certifications
NP – Nurse Practitioner-current Texas Licensure and certificate to practice as
a Nurse Practitioner issued by the Texas State Board required upon hire.
National certification or eligible for certification as Nurse Practitioner
required upon hire. Or, PA – Physician Assistant-current State of Texas
Physician Assistant required upon hire and current Texas Licensure and
certificate to practice as a Physician Assistant issued by the Texas State
Board required upon hire. National certification or eligible for certification
as Physician Assistant required upon hire.

Skills
Must have strong oral and written communication skills and the proven ability
to successfully lead and motivate a workforce
Knowledge of national medical best practices within an urgent care setting
Knowledge of and skill in the use of personal computers and related systems
and software
Ability to work efficiently under pressure, independently and take initiative
Ability to willingly accept responsibility
Ability to set priorities and use good judgement
Process improvement certifications such as Lean, Six Sigma, or other preferred
