As a nurse, have you ever given gifts to your patients? (yes, not the other way around!)

Gifts come in various forms. The care you give is a gift and that also comes as a package to be honest. Because you use all your senses and you give it because that's what being a nurse means. If we are talking about material stuff, then yes I have personally. But it has to be a gift that is appropriate and what your patient needs to help lift up their spirits and make them feel they are valued. Being a nurse is a thankless job. I have learned that in the many years of practice. But there are many occasions too that the family members and even patient themselves express that gratitude of your excellent work and care. So expect less to none but give the best of what you are meant for.
