Considering going back to school for FNP, but there is a lack of jobs in my area for them. Is this the case in other areas ?

It is definitely the same in most places. When I was considering going back for NP, my research helped me to choose PMHNP because there is an extreme shortage of mental health providers in the entire country. I had a few years of experience working with with patients who have mental health disorders and the need for provider in this area of nursing helped me make the decision. Not sure if this is your thing but you can think about it. Hope this is helpful😊
