How are new graduate nurses in high demand yet no one seems to be hiring?

In Las Vegas there are several hospitals looking to hire new grads. They do this roughly 3 or 4 times a year, and always right around the time colleges have students graduating.

Maybe it depends on your geographical area.
Im Im the northeast and we are hiring. Also, many hospitals are cutting back due to the amount of money spent in the las two years for nursing services.
