I use it to find managers for facilities I am interested in applying to "cold email". Not many nurses use it unfortunately, but I hope this changes as it is a great networking tool. It has helped me do virtual coffee chats with people working in units at the different facilities I am interested in.
I do. However I am in a unique speciality and use my profile to network with other in my field all over the country. I am a forensic nurse coordinator cure and nationally the amount of trained and certified nurses is very low. It also allows me to network with others that make up the multidisciplinary team we work with. Nursing often isn’t about just nurses and we can learn so much about getting to know others in our related fields and neighboring states.
I have one, but I haven't found too much use for it. My husband is in software sales and uses it a ton for his work. The nurses I'm friends with on there don't seem to be too active either.
