I’ve found that if there’s a computer in the room, we put music on that was relevant to the pts age. I had an elderly Alzheimer’s patient, who was in her 20s during the war. We managed to pull up songs and play them for her, and it helped calm her down. She actually started singing some of the songs to the music. I can actually bring tears to your eyes when you see that.
