The short answer is don't be stupid. Heehee. Long answer is most nurses loose their license after state investigates a claim and finds the nurse was abusive or neglectful or the serious injury or death that occured was because a nurse failed to prevent the occurance. This could be a med error or failure to report assessment findings or lab reports to the MD. If another reasonable and compent nurse of your skill level would have done something differently, you could be liable.
