Considering going back to school for NP. Anyone have suggestions for online schools?
My daughter went to Frontier and loved it. She recommends it to everyone
Hi! There are several online NP schools that are excellent. First, I would like to talk about a way to fund your education while paying back the loan with a time served commitment instead of cash from your pocket. Many medical centers will grant a scholarship to it's employees. Most require that you work in the facility for at least one year prior to applying for the scholarship. VA Medical Centers are know for offering scholarships for NP school. You would need to apply for a scholarship in a specialty that is needed at the time- for instance Mental Health or Geriatrics, etc. They will even promise to hire you as an NP (somewhere in the national VA system) once schooling is completed. Now, to answer your question - The better online NP programs: Walden, Chamberlain, Georgetown, George Washington University, Duke, and University of Alabama. I wish you look in your future endeavors.
Unless you are going for psych NP, the market is becomig glutted with NPs. I know several recent NP graduates who are lookin for jobs. In the meantime, crushing student debt awaits them.
Frontier Nursing University.
