How do you cope with everything you see and deal with at work? How do you practice "self care" or any other coping strategy?
Spend time with family, go out and enjoy nature, watch a comedy and laugh out loud, enjoy time with friends, take a long hot shower, listen to music, talk about work with a close coworker, take a mental health day if you need it
I journal, daily. I do yoga 3-5 times a week and I do mindfulness breathing exercises. I also am careful about what I eat. Taking care of ‘myself’ first really does help give you better coping mechanisms.
Personally, I love doing my job so l don’t have any issues on coping. I believe you will
encounter scenarios that mimic your own life trials that you are dealing with and this is where you have to separate yourself from the situation.
I also talk a lot—-therapy to other clinicians. Debunking is the best thing ever for me.
I pray a lot and for those who aren’t believers then meditate a lot
Gym and exercises… I never used to be a believer of the gym as a stress reliever but it does work. Yoga and all the rest fall here
