Looking for any last minute affordable NCLEX help tips

Hi there! Just seeing this and I hope it's not too late... my suggestion is find a site that's got a lot of free questions. The more the better. Like 100+ if possible. Then take EACH question and the answers, copy/paste it on the top of its *own* piece of paper, leaving the space below blank.

If it's an easy one, great! Write out the rationale for why it's right (and why the others aren't if you feel like it). If you have no clue? Do NOT stress it. Google it or look it up in your text book to find what the correct answer is. And again, write it out on the paper. Don't write too much & overwhelm yourself, but write enough so that it makes sense to you. It may sound tedious & annoying, but the simple act of writing out the rationale for the correct answer, and why the others *aren't* correct will do wonders for your brain, and you'll be amazed at how much info is retained from simply writing. I'm talkin pen to paper. It doesn't work the same if you type it out.

*random tip* - back when I took it a jillion years ago, I learned that they tend to throw in random diseases or procedures that are pretty uncommon. Don't freak when you see that. Usually the question isn't about the disease/procedure - that's just a distraction from the real question which involves a specific nursing intervention. You got this!

They consider you a new nurse with two weeks experience in the scenarios listed in the questions so if it’s something heroic and out of the norm that is probably not what you do….you get help etc… remember your A B Cs for prioritizing patients
Airway
Breathing
Circulation
If it is not in those three categories it is not the priority for the most part.

As last minute NCLEX tips, I would get information and samples of how to read NCLEX test questions. I find that the majority of nursing students do not fail the NCLEX due to a knowledge deficit. The majority of them fail because they do not understand how to read the test questions.
Know what the question is asking for, utilize the information given when you can integrate pathophysiology, disease process, etc. Some of the questions are not going to give you the option of choosing the correct answer. Nursing expects you to be able to critically think in various situations. There are several different types of questions and methods in which to answer them. I would definitely refresh from the beginning and then just as many questions as you can answer utilizing your refreshed skills.
Good luck 😃🤞

Depends on when you are scheduled for the exam. I you can afford to pay for a NCLEX prep course, that would be ideal. If not, I suggest purchasing the latest edition NCLEX study guide with questions, answers and most important - rationale for answers. Go through the study guide and mark all of the correct answers to all questions. Then go back and read each question, the answer and the rationale. Once you are familiar with the rationale you won't forget the correct answer.
