Why is it hard to get any feedback on Jobs ? I thought there were many Jobs out there ? OR RN

First of all, do you keep your resume current? Once you have applied (and it depends on where you apply), please follow up on your application. Do not wait for them to call you. I assume you have multiple applications in various facilities. If you are really interested in one facility, you can always call and ask them re- the status of your application since you have a "pending application" with another facility. With the shortage of OR nurses almost everywhere, with your inquiry, I don't think they want you to slip out of their grasp.

Depends, first and foremost need. Second, does the hiring manager think you are a good fit for their team. Third, your skill set. In the OR, having ability to circulate and scrub offers broader consideration. Lastly, flexibility relative to meeting the units needs. For example, you will most likely be required to cover call anywhere from 4 hours to a 48 hour weekend. Work holidays and weekends. Starting new, could be years before you get vacation time off when you want. Seniority typically plays out to the disadvantage of new hires. Frankly, if you meet primary parameters, it capitulates to whether the hiring manager thinks you would be an asset to the OR team. If male, that adds a dimensional variable, wherein discrimination is alive and well.
