To get experience, jump into anything that is along the lines of what you are wanting to provide later. Like a niche or specialty. After you gain experience start your own practice, if you can....depending on your state. Companies can be great, but they also take in FAR more than you are being compensated and you can do way more than you realize on your own, or with a NP/MD group practice.
