What is the best thing about working in the Emergency Department in your opinion?

You always learn something new all the time.

You are NEVER bored. And if you have a split second thought of, oh wow I’m all caught up, a trauma will roll up. It’s non stop never ending

The turnover meaning you are not taking care of same patient(s) for the whole shift. Variety, fast paced.

You learn and see so much, and you lean on your team and bond with your team in the process! It challenges your assessment skills and communication skills. You can love it or hate it, but the choice is all yours.

In my opinion I have to always prepare for the worst Case and that will make a huge difference

Three things, money, money, money.

So busy and you see a variety of patients which gives you a wide range of experience.

There is never a dull moment.
