What is the best way to return to bedside nursing after 20 plus years? I was a pediatric nurse for 2 years then in nursing informatics until now. Refresher done. NCLEX in October.

Hi! I'm a new grad nurse and started through pediatric home health. The hours are flexible, the pay can be comparable to a hospital, and the 1:1 ratio makes it great to ease into nursing.
How was nursing informatics? Does the field have job security? Other IT jobs seem to not have the security of jobs as many people think it does. I am interested in this field, but don't know how to start after finishing my residency.

I would apply. You sound ready and prepared. You could always volunteer on a floor if things don’t happen quickly enough.
