I have been away from the hospital for the past two years to care for my mom full time who had leukemia. In the end i had home hospice for her. I had 10years Med surg and 3 years Tele/Onc. Will I have trouble getting hired since I have been away?

TRy to find a refresher course online. Many institutions will want you to have one. Policies, laws and medical techniques change rapidly . So do medicines used. An online refresher will help you and show prospective employers you are willing to learn and serious about meeting new challenges when you return to work.

I wouldn't say trouble, but think about medicine and how practice, policies and procedures may have changed. Some states do require RNs to take a refresher course and/or something similar. A formal orientation like the one given to new graduate may be required. Where you're choosing to practice plays a major role. Best of luck to you!
