It is easy to find jobs. Mostly at LTC. If you don't mind a lot of stress, long hours and management hat ultimately only care about the money, than that's the way to go. I work at the state hospital. The pay is lower, but the benefits are outstanding. Also the stress level is v ery low. You pass meds to 30 patients, and they come to you.
Also a great job is home care and hospice. The pay is good. Most companies are great. You do put a lot of miles on your vehicle. If you go that route, make sure you get a contract that states you'll have guaranteed hours. Otherwise, when clients are low, they give all the hours to the RN.
