CATEGORIES Annual Report

The healthcare industry is changing—and so is the workforce that powers it. Here’s what nurses and technicians want you to know in 2025.

Based on proprietary data from over 1 million healthcare professionals and nationwide survey responses, the 6th Annual 2025 State of U.S. Nurses & Technicians Report from Incredible Health reveals the biggest shifts impacting the healthcare workforce this year.

Key Findings Include:

  • Technician shortages are reaching crisis levels: 61% of technicians say understaffing is hurting patient care, team morale, and job performance.
  • Fewer nurses plan to leave—techs still at risk: 18.3% of nurses expect to leave their jobs this year (down 20% from last year), but 28% of technicians plan to exit in 2025.
  • Upskilling includes AI—and workers are ready: 85% of nurses want training in AI tools, and 1 in 5 clinicians want to grow into new roles but lack support to get there.
