What made you decide to become a nurse practitioner instead of an RN?

To be clear, you must be an RN (Registered Nurse) in order to move on to “advanced practice”. A Nurse Practitioner is an Advanced Practice Registered Nurse.

In my states he will have to a RN before you can be a nurse practitioner

I did it after getting my MSN Nurse educator degree and decided that’s not my passion. I wanted to take care of patients and help manage their care. I was also tired of fighting for shifts, working weekends & holidays. I like be why I do.
