If you don’t like region based hospitals, then don’t work for them. As a Christian I do believe that religion can be a part of nursing care when the patient needs support in this topic. God is a BIG part of my life, and I like to help others who believe in it too.

Most of my long nursing career has been in "faith based" hospitals. I have worked in non-faith based as well. There is a different feeling

I agree with this statement. One must realize, however, that Catholic affiliated hospitals won’t perform any procedures prohibited by the church, such as sterilization procedures-vasectomy and tubal ligation. This shouldn’t affect the caregiver’s role, just something unique one should be aware of.

True, but how they care for the patients is different. At the faith based hospital, it was based on taking care of the whole person. At the non faith based hospital is was about getting patients to their minimum function and shipping them off.

Different feel for how they cared for their patients.
