Should nurses be allowed to assist in executions or other forms of capital punishment?

A: IF they want to. I heard a story where an inmate on death row was NOT executed because “nobody could get an IV.”

I wonder if the inmate intentionally dehydrated himself or if the IV starter just wasn’t very good
