I suggest you see if the facility will allow you to shadow. That gives you the chance to see if this is what you want.
If u can’t transfer directly in to NICU try a special care nursery.
Given staffing challenges and focus on retention , many hospitals are offering special programs to attract staff.
Look in to getting NRP certified.
