November 14th, 2023

Address to you manager with the date submitted. Short and sweet.

Look up nursing resignation letters on google to see ideas. Pro tip, many hospitals give you insurance for the rest of the month as long as you work 1 day, so if your last day will be Nov 29 or something, make it Dec 1 - if youll need the insurance and wont be starting a new job. Most hospitals do prefer for you to finish out the pay period.

1) Thank them for allowing you to work and learn at this facility. Appreciate the growth in you because the experience. 2) No matter why your leaving resist the urge to be negative. Avoid burning bridges. People leave but that angry letter will still be in your file. 3) Give them the 2 weeks noice and include the actual last date. 3). Don’t call out During those two weeks it’s disrespectful to your co workers who will say kind things to you. The loss and good times. 4) Consider and exit interview to discuss areas of improvement and positive lessons you will take with you.

First by saying thank you. then notifying the reason for the resignation and letting the specific day of the resignation be known.

I think the best way of approaching this is to let your employer know ahead of time that you are pursuing a degree.
In my case, my employer knows that I'm becoming a nurse and they are completely supportive.
When I do resign I will thank them for having me as an employee. I t won't be hard to do, because I work for a great company.
