Hi- Burnout is real and will drain your passion which could lead to unintentional consequences. What interests you? Are you passionate about being a preceptor and passing pearls of wisdom to our new nurses? Are you interested in nursing research? Is your hospital a MAGNET facility or on the Pathways to excellence journey? Are you active in any performance improvement projects on your unit? These are a few ideas to help spark your interest in some new areas of nursing. What is your educational level? I ask bc I started my career as an LPN and overtime obtained my DNP - as your education grows so will your interests in our great profession grow. Remember healthcare is a journey with no finish line! I hope this helps

However, that being said, if you can manage with a cut for a year in order to get your spark back, it may be worth it.
