How many of you who started out bedside and switched over to utilization review? How was the transition? Did you think it was a good move? What certifications did you persue as an inpatient utilization review nurse?

I started out at bedside. I did not even know anything about utilization review. A friend referred me to Tricare-Humana Military Healthcare. I found it a smooth transition and very fulfilling. There was no stress! They did not require any certifications for UR.
