Being an LTAC nurse is challenging, but very rewarding. You must be clinical astute and always be willing to learn. Most LTAC patients have multisystem issues and can be very complex to care for. If you are open to learning, not afraid to ask questions, or ask for help when needed, you can successfully practice in an LTAC setting.
