Why is nursing so full of the most toxic work environments I’ve ever seen?!

Often times, the toxic nature of the nursing work environment comes from the accumulated stress that each nurse is going through. This may include personal stress and professional stress factors such as terrible staffing ratios, ooor support from management, terrible pay and so on.

Other times, this toxicity simply stems from nurses just downright being mean to each other. This is something that may often times be out of our control, causing you to just show up to work, commit to getting your work done and going home.

All in all, the hope is that the culture changes someday and we all learn to work together in an easier and more considerate way.
