You sound like you may be from another country, if so you need to pay to the State Board of Nursing wherever you intend on working. Beware in the US we do not have general or specialized diplomas. We have either two year, Associate, four year Bachelors, or Masters degrees. You will have to submit proof of your education to the Board and they will determine the level to which your education matches. It takes time but until then you will not be able to work without getting a State approved license.
