Can you share any creative techniques or strategies you've used to distract or engage pediatric patients during potentially uncomfortable or painful procedures?

One of the few things and suggestions I can tell base on my own experience and always effective is to explain whats going to happen, be patient with them, establish rapport by making friends before and after the test, encourage them to count from 1 to 10, sing nursery rhyme song in calm voice, distract with mobile Phone or something that they can watch with their eyes and hands to hold on to.
