How often do you have to use restraints or sedation in patient care?

We use medical restraints and chemical restraints for medical safety all the time in the icu, it’s common. Medical and violent restraints are different. I have worked psych where we never used physical restraints only physical holds and chemical restraints and worked psych where seclusion and physical restraints were common. It just depends on location and patient base
