How much do labor and delivery nurses make with ten years of experience? Brownie points if you know the Minnesota rate;)

This completely depends on the location, hospital and if you're in a city doing high-risk as well. If you have 10 years in as an RN, you wouldn't be coming in as fresh-out-of-school nurse which is great and still would be oriented, but depends if you are an LPN, BSN or MSN+ your pay rate would vary. I was a high-risk L/D BSN RN and worked nights, so I got the differential and the risk pay, since it was an inner-city, huge hospital on the east coast. You're just going to have to ask the question based on your experience and location, but if you would consider travel nursing, those pay huge amounts, especially for L/D.

Wages are set by the union for the most part in Minnesota. I’m not sure how they determine wages for someone coming in new (from another hospital outside of the MNA union), however, a nurse with 10 years of experience who has worked within the MNA usually makes between high $40’s per hour to $50+ per hour. I have 13 years in the MNA and currently make $56 with differentials for straight nights of an extra $4/hr, plus $1.25 for weekend and $2 for charge and $2 for precepting. Hours of service vs years of service is main determining factor for wages, but overall Minnesota pays more per hour than other midwestern states. Hope this helps :)

With a BSN in the Twin Cities in a MNA hospital, somewhere around $40/hr-probably more.
