After graduate from nursing school only had one job as a primary care nurse for 3 years. Right now looking for a new job but I am so nervous. Feels like learned nothing from previous job and no specialist experience. What kind job should I go for?

Unfortunately, it's not easy to find a job these days, period! Especially with the greedy employers who keep adding so many jumping hoops (certifications, specialty, experience in specific nursing disciplines etc). I hate it when they keep asking us to go on different websites, create accnts, fill out forms, skills, experience, references etc & then ghost us (keep in mind, AI plays a role these days in triaging resumes). Why bother & go thro all that trouble with so many steps when we provide them with a college degree, an active undisciplined nursing license, & a resume that has all they need to know). If you're a new grad (they don't wanna train you which is more the fault of the education system than employers) but someone I know has so much experience & can't get a job either (they refuse to pay for that much experience). Go figure, then they gaslight the medical community "nursing shortage""!!

What are you interested in? Whatever that is, do that. İn nursing, you need to absolutely love what you do. Figure out where you want to get to, first, and then find a path to get there. Do some online research; talk to people in the specialty/ies you want to consider; perhaps try to arrange a shadow day; reach out to the local branch of the professional organization for the specialty & talk to people working in the field. Also nurses from every specialty put up videos on YouTube, some very informative. But before doing anything, sit down and put together a list of the skills -- soft and hard --
- that you have acquired and excelled at in your present job. Don't undervalue yourself or sell yourself short. sellshortundervalue yourself or sell yourself short
