Hi How can I start working as a nurse if I have license from another state in PA? No experience related.
First you would need to get your license transfered then start applying to places. Until you have a proper license you may not be able to work. Some states have a compact license
You need to contact your Board of Nursing and apply for a license in the state you want to work.
You’d need to obtain licensure in the state you want to work in if your license is not a compact license. It generally involves applying, sending in transcripts, fingerprinting and paying your fees. It does take some time but it can be done.
You need to contact the state board of nursing and file for a license from that state! Just letting you know it takes a LONG TIME for it to come back. Also, your job may pay for your license fee in that state? My employer paid the 200.00 fees for my license. it took a full month to come back, so, if you have a job in another state file A.S.A.P.
