How can I start my nursing career here in LA.? I recently moved here and I was a registered nurse in the Philippines with 5 years experience in ob- gyne, medical-surgical and emerging infectious diseases unit respectively.

You would need to get in touch with the California Board of Registered Nursing www.BRN.gov. It will list the requirements to obtain an RN license in California. You would have to apply and take the state exam as a foreign graduate. Good Luck!
