Helping nurses work smarter not harder. The work force should be given the best technology that is available, not cumbersome rolling carts that make you click numerous times to say or do one thing. Let's make nursing on med surgery floors no more than 3:1. CVIMU 2:1 and ICU1:1.

Hospital administrators can use the google machine to see that a “C-suite” executive at a hospital making 10x what a nurse makes is the problem. Until that is resolved there will be no actual solution to addressing nursing shortages.

Helping to lighten the loads that bedside nurses have everyday. You have telephone triaging and virtual nursing which help with tasks that nurses in the hospital wouldn’t have to do and also monitoring of vitals or telemetry can be done remotely. There is a lot that technology can and will do because healthcare is ever changing. Now it doesn’t address nursing shortages fully but it’s a start with where technology can do.

1. If these Management people HELP AROUND during staff shortages than just sitting their assess in their office throne, it will absolutely help de-stress nurses.

2. STOP giving bonu$e$ to Managements. Money should be intended for buying machineries that would absolutely help with faster workloads.

You can have all the tech in the world and administrators will still find a way to make things difficult. Used the Leaf for the first time the other night. What a POS. Damn thing didn’t register the turns and manager had something to say. And don’t get me started on those damn Vocera’s.
