Why is it difficult to get an Emergency RN job as a new grad with prior EMT/Paramedic/ER tech experience?

Maybe the one particular hospital or area you’re considering either told you or had an employee tell you that that is the case, but the answer is—it’s not difficult to obtain a job in the ED without that prior experience. There are hundreds of hospitals out there willing to train you.

There shouldn’t be a difficult hiring for someone with your experience. I’ve been the nurse for 43 years and the policies back in the day where you cannot come down to the emergency room until you had at least one year upstairs on a MedSurg floor for one year and then you could come to the emergency room
