Short answer- yes. Long answer- it really depends what specific thing you are afraid of. If it’s being face to face with suffering, sickness, and pain, you will probably experience some of that in any nursing profession. If you are afraid of the emergencies and critical conditions our patients can be in - there is plenty of nursing positions outside of critical and acute care. Even if you don’t want to see yuck and guck, there’s nursing jobs available where you never have to be in the presence of someone else’s bodily fluids.
