RN of 23 yrs. Experience in MANY areas; ICU, PACU, ER, Ambulatory surgery, clinic,/office, mental health, procedural, etc. Didn’t work last 2 yrs d/t medical issues and caring for elderly parents. How do I appeal to clinical AND non-clinical jobs?

Don’t let your last 2 yrs be a detriment- make it a positive additive. Add it to your resume as an additional experience. It is not easy being a care giver and requires a lot of very important skills. Was there wound care, medication education, cognitive, vitals? Add those experiences as a community health nurse would.
