Hello there I would like to get back in urology but as a RN, it’s difficult to find a position. Also I love working in a office setting or even have a remote position however I don’t have enough experience. Any tips or advice? Thank you

I transferred from PACU to Spinal cord Urology clinic. That was one of the best decision that I made in my career. I worked with an urologist that was willing to share his knowledge with me. I was constantly reading and going to in-service so that I can stay abreast of the new trends in urology. I joined the Urology Nurse association and the American rehab nurse. The urologist also trained me how to perform Urodynamic, I was only the registered nurse that performed this procedure in my facility.
Sadly to say the urologist that taught me so much retired and eventually died. The new urologist made it so difficulty for me because the patient referred me over her. I was eventually was transferred to another area. However, my work continues to work for itself; many of the forms and policy that I develop are still being used. Patients and fellow-colleagues are still asking for my advice.

Urology is awesome
