Should I have a backup plan in case my nursing major doesn't work out?

Absolutely! It is always a good idea to have a backup plan. Also there are so many other specialties within Nursing that you can work in. What do you enjoy doing? What is the population that you enjoy working with? Do you like teaching others? Nursing does have a lot of burnout so explore all options. Good luck!
