Can you fail the NCLEX in 75 questions?

Yea it can potentially turn off at 75 questions if you’ve gotten a certain amount wrong. The NCLEX works with an algorithm of questions, asking questions that are harder as you go and bases each question on If you answered the last question correctly. “The computer will stop giving questions when it is 95% certain that your ability is clearly above or clearly below the passing standard”. Also you can pass in 75 or pass with the max number of questions or anywhere in between.

I did not study the way the NCLEX scored until after I passed - I recommend you read up on the way the test is set to evaluate and score - yes - you can fail at any number on the test - it is based on competencies and you would have to be failing many multiple times throughout test to fail that fast
