I love seeing patients get the courage to go through a detox/withdrawal process, and then being clear-headed enough to start making connections and realizations about how trauma in their life led to addiction. I also love watching them grow stronger mentally, physically and spiritually and learn to set boundaries and discover their potential. Very fulfilling!

Drug addiction is a beast, so when someone is seriously ready to overcome the addiction, how healthcare workers treat them can either encourage them to press forward or knock them backwards into hopelessness.
