How do you get an exemption for the Covid vaccine when your pastor and family physician are pro vaccination? I am an RN wanting to travel nurse.
Or, as a Registered Nurse, who is on the front line and has the opportunity to educate others around you how Covid Rx can save lives and reduce costly hospitalizations, you could get your vaccination and be the hero of the week! 🤩
Can’t be done. You could have anti vax MDs and clergy. Travel nursing? Not happening without a vaccine. The travel companies will not want to hire you because they would not want the baggage of trying to place you. Not trying to be a jerk. That’s just the real answer.
Submit a religious expedition writing your reasons why and any verses that apply. Most places don’t necessarily Need or want your pastors to write something.
I am a nurse who has not and will not be vaccinated again. No COVID, influenza, etc. mine is medical (Guillene Barre Syndrome). Most hospitals or travel agencies will not hire you without an exception form. Which, really, is sad. The most current data on the vaccine and boosters shows that it is performing poorly. (CDC website)The efficacy rate is somewhere around 25%.
A: In the scheme of things, no one should ever be coerced, mandated or refused to have a job! We should all be allowed freedom of choice based on our beliefs. As nursed we are asked to respect and uphold the religious, cultural and ethical beliefs of our clients because they are important and make the client who they are. Aren't we as nurses deserving of the same treatment. Unfortunately not all employers will accept a religious exemption, I don't understand that concept because as nurses we are expected to respect the religious beliefs of some of those organizations and the clients who we carry for. A nurse's freedom of choice based on his or her beliefs should be respected and not used against the individual.
Follow Peggy Hall at the Healthy American. She and her husband are sharing information about exactly how to get an exemption.
Pastor Jack Hibbs ministry has an online accessible downloadable exemption form at Calvary Chapel Chino Hills website. Scroll to the bottom and you’ll see vaccine exemption form. You can but you do t need a pastor to sign it.
You can get a religious exemption without your pastor. I did. Also, there are plenty of travel agencies / hospitals that don’t require a Covid vaccination to be hired! 🙃🙌
You don't. Obviously this is NOT true. Get the vaccines please!!! Covid is very-very-very real. So disappointed in my fellow Nurse's whom choose to put others and themselves at risk . I just read that there is a rise in childhood illnesses that had been vaccine eradicated.... I wonder why...... There are many stupid people in the world. They are taking this to a new extreme, 1st Covid, then all vaccines. Let's be the smart examples to them!
Get the vaccine like the rest of us
If you don't believe in science why are you a nurse
You write out your exemption yourself. Quote the lines from the religious book that you use for your faith about the God that you serve is the ultimate healer.
Start your exemption letter off with something like “Being a person of strong Christian Morals, it is against my deep, sincerely held, and religious convictions to accept the injection of any foreign substances into my body”
Quote the laws (constitution) that grant your protections if you choose.
End the letter citing that who ever you pray to is the only source of protection that you need to keep you healthy and that you are requesting a religious exemption as an accommodation.
Especially if you are traveling to Republican
States there should be no issue. Some companies still may require the vaccine. Hope that helps.
This is a controversial topic. If you are in the medical field we know that science and medicine are not perfect. We do the best we can with the information and resources given. At the end of the day none of us WANT to get the vaccine but know it is necessary to protect others. Yes it was approved through the EUA but it has shown that the benefits of getting the vaccine outweigh the risks. It’s selfish not to get it because you are worried about individual side effects. ALL OF US ARE. However, we believe it is important in order to get this under control. Those who refuse think they are “special.” It doesn’t matter the reason.. we should all be in this together.
Retire or just find a job that doesn’t require one. I mean you didn’t say you were doing it for religious reasons you’re doing it because you don’t have enough data, that’s your right. Seems like you’re just trying to scheme the system and that’s a scary nurse, ijs.
I work homecare. Got exemption when my pastor was getting vaccine. I just told them I am independent of my pastor. My beliefs are my own
You
Pastor J D Farag Calvary Chapel will send you one in the mail. Covid is real but not a reason to get a vaccine that forever change your DNA, millions are sick thousands have died do your own research. Your body your life.
Many of us were denied our religious exemption from our previous employer, until the last minute. I made my appeal personal, stating we have to honor the religious choices of our pts(Jehovahs Witness and Muslim females). I have a wonderful priest in Lemont Il who agrees with declining the shot and signed and stamped my exemption. Some places do accept it. Good luck.
I travel without the vaccine as do many others. There is a church pastor in Tulsa Ok. willing to help you. Sheridan Church 4121 S Sheridan Rd, Tulsa, OK. Contact them if you need something in writing from a pastor.
I hope you found paperwork supporting religious exemption. I have it. I regret being bullied into the Vaccination. I didn't know an aborted fetus was used in the beginning stages of the vaccine. My health hasn't been the same since
Most travel agencies want proof of vaccination and boosters prior to onboarding. Sometimes, in life you have to choose your personal priorities. Many times your priority will not be popular. I always know that I have choices. However, my choices have consequences.
If you want to be a traveling nurse you of all people need the Covid vaccine. I am Retired nurse and did the traveling nurse for a
Year, you run into all kinds of diseases.
I just started a new job at a nursing home. They had a religious exemption form I had to sign. No problem there. I do have to wear a N95 fitted mask as do others and everyone gets tested twice a week.
Your employee must offer an exemption from the vaccine if requested. I informed the company I work for that I do not believe it is moral to use fetal cell line vaccines. It is doubtful they will deny you.
Federal facilities have policies that allow for contractors to refuse vaccinations but you have to wear a mask and test which even that has relaxed since May 11th. The travel company our federal site uses has several nurses with exemptions.
Check out peggy hall. She has all those answers at “ the healthy american . Org
I would politely explain to my pastor about which verses and why my belief is that which it is. You need to go to the Bible to pull what you believe. In the book of Daniel all of the other Jewish children brought to be raised up as Babylonians for the king's court thought eating of the king's food was fine, but Daniel, Hananiah, Mishael, and Azariah argued their point. So just because one person within your church has that belief doesn't mean they all do.
Get the ram vaccine. So some research. She you kidding me!?!
Not making a lot of sense - your question, but if you are asking if you can be unvaccinated as a traveler the answer is no.
