I have 18 yrs acute care experience as RN. I applied jobs to insurance companies for case management/utilization position. Likewise, I’ve had interviews only to be rejected. Likewise, I’ve been searching for the past 6 mos. Any help or suggestions?
My suggestion would be to do some research on the company your applying to, tailor your answers to fit their mission statement.
The first thing you should do when rejected from a job is to ask in what area the company thought you were weak. Most HR representatives will give you some constructive feedback into what skills are missing on your resume. Have someone in a leadership position review your resume or take a course in how to write a resume. Read some articles about the role of the RN working in case management or utilization review. Talk to the RN who works in utilization review in your place of employment for some helpful hints. If you are a poor writer that is suggested by the use of the word "likewise" in two sentences, take a course in writing at the local community college.
Hi there, What I would do is to update the resume and add key words of what they are looking for. Ask them what they are looking for and focus on that and run with it. If you are not confident in your interview, you will not get the job. You can do this.....
