Do you think it's appropriate for nurses to make/post TikTok videos while at work?
Absolutely 100% “NO.” Every hospital has policies prohibiting this. And for very good reasons. You may capture something or someone in the background. You may catch someone doing something unsafe or even unethical. Your videos can be subpoenaed and used against a hospital or even you personally in a court of law. Any patient filmed by a hospital representative must sign a release. But leave this to the administrative staff. Check your policy and procedures. I bet you will find it.
that is a HIPPA violation of the very highest; for every reason mentioned and more: not only will you be fired, but you will lose your license, be sued by the patients (Who, incidentally, would win. Your malpractice insurance will not cover this); you could actually go to prison. If this question was actually asked by a nurse, I think you should leave the profession.
Nursing job is a profession . It’s not nice to do TikTok videos while at work .it will distract us from work and give way for a nurse to do mistake
Absolutely not!
I personally do not believe you should, it's unprofessional. I'm also sure your hospital would frown upon it and indeed in doing so you might violate rules or policies. Is placing your job at risk worth it for 15 minutes of fame? There could also be breech of privacy, another reason for termination. I'm curious though; if you are doing your job how do you even have time to create a tictock?
