Ask if there are options for PRN positions because a lot of Nursing jobs offer benefits based on full-time positions
Check your company website for any per diem positions in your unit, and if they are posted you apply. Then let your manager know you applied to the option. If no position is posted, ask your manager if any are available. I know each unit is only given a certain amount of per diem spots, but they usually do not want to lose an already trained employer. Definitely speak with your nurse manager.
Look and see if your employer has any per diem/prn jobs posted. Talk with your manager and request change. Apply for posted PRN job through HR.
