How do you handle your time and decide what to do first when you have a lot of tasks to do as a nurse and there's a lot going on around you?

Great question! Take deep breaths when you start to feel overwhelmed and be sure to delegate task that don’t require RN. It sounds like you’re still pretty new so ask for help from the charge nurse or your neighbor nurse if you feel overwhelmed with scheduled/unschd RN task. Start with the most sick patient when you do task and make rounds. Good luck I hope this helps!
