What is correctional nursing like? Is it possible to find a hospital job after working in a correctional facility?

Florida Nurse here: I’ve worked max security prisons (death row only) and minimum security … Honestly if you have rough skin but still have compassion you can do it … You have to be wise enough to recognize manipulation and games that inmates try to play…. But also compassion for people regardless of their charges …. They are already serving their time - it’s not our job to punish them … Word of advice : DONT even look them up to learn their story - that will help you keep a clear head when providing care without any judgement or bias …… Good luck
