I'm in rural MO and no one wants to hire a new graduate in the hospital.I have been an LPN from 2015.How did you land your hospital job?

This advice holds in rural areas and in cities where new RN grads may not have opportunities for hire when staffs are full. Try to find an RN position in a nursing home, try group practices or single doctor's offices, volunteer with your local first responder service - anything to get experience AS AN RN. Even if you have worked somewhere as an LPN for many years, now you are embarking on a new role with different responsibilities. Perhaps your current employer will hire you into an RN position. Look at visiting nurse or a nearby outpatient clinic. None of these will pay you what a hospital will, if salary is a primary concern, but all will allow you to gain and reinforce RN nursing skills, judgement and abilities. In a worst-case scenario, you might consider relocating. University hospitals within your state may have new graduate programs and you might need to move in order to participate in one of those. Make inquiries and be open on all possible solutions. Good luck.
